idk i think the both would be pretty good i mean the wider the more itll disperse the weight of the vehicle an it wouldnt sink as much an it would deff seem to give more traction on rocks to cause you have more to grip but taller would deff help out in deep ruts an mud also an to help get alil more lift to. thats just my thoughts on it i may be wrong

idk either...but i will say this...out west and north where the ground stays white most of the winter and very muddy when it aint.... the dually p/u isn't as popular as it is here... Reason being.....the duals are wide and don't go thru mud and snow so good... On the other hand in Moab UT....the rock climbing capital of the world....tall,fat, and wide seems to be thing there... I really believe that suspension is prolly more important than tire size or as important.....can't go if u cant keep them all 4 on the ground at all times.... Neither of which do i have any experience at what so ever... So there u have it.....my 2 cents worth....

Well I think it all comes down to HP and gears. You get the right tire to fit your driveline. Small skinny tires for low horse and big wide tires for big horses. Just look at pro mud drags and bogs big and wide tires on every rig and they run some high horses
